Arsenal turn to Jurgen Klopp's secret weapon as Mikel Arteta follows through on promise
Arsenal are favourites to claim the Premier League title under Mikel Arteta this season and the Gunners boss has attempted to bolster their chances with a move for a former Liverpool coach.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has attempted to strengthen his side's Premier League title push with a move for former Liverpool coach Thomas Gronnemark. The Gunners currently sit top of the table with a six point lead over nearest rivals Manchester City.
But the north London giants are not resting on their laurels and are still attempting to strengthen ahead of the second-half of the campaign. As per The Times, Arsenal have turned to Gronnemark for advice about set pieces.
The 50-year-old - a former Danish footballer - is one of the world's leading throw-in experts, having officially been named as the holder of the world's longest throw. Gronnemark has already lent his expertise to a number of clubs including Brentford, Borussia Dortmund, Ajax, FC Midtjylland, Union Saint-Gilloise and JEF United in Japan.
He was also offered a job by former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp in 2018 and he helped the Reds to the Premier League title under the German. Speaking about his move to Anfield, he said: "I was totally in shock when Jurgen called me.

I listened to the voicemail and it was a message from Jurgen. I tried to call him back, but he didn't pick up.
"My heart was just pounding... I took the call on my way home in the car, where I drove directly into a grass field when he called. He told me that he was sitting in a beach chair, reading the German newspaper Bild while on vacation in Tenerife, and he came across an article about me... he had never heard of a throw-in coach before."
Arsenal boss Arteta will hope that Gronnemark's expertise can add to a strength that he's managed to harness already. The Gunners have become the Premier League's set-piece kings, having scored goals from 14 dead balls this season - more than any other club.

Set-piece coach Nicolas Jover has been right at the forefront of that work. Explaining his approach with set-pieces, the Arsenal boss claimed that it has been a decade's worth of work.
Asked when he realised how crucial corners and free-kicks were, Arteta replied: "Ten years ago. I wasn't here, but 10 years ago, I said 'it is a massive thing to do that' and I started to have a vision, try to implement a method and try to be surrounded by the best people to deliver that."
